About Our Church

Father Spyridon and Matushka Xenia of St. John the Russian Orthodox Church
Dear Friends, Inquirers and Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Welcome to the Orthodox Church of St. John the Russian located in the colonial town of Ipswich, MA!

Our website is a direct window into the life of our precious and holy parish family. As we continue to develop our website please visit us from time to time to share in and become part of our life in Christ under the protection of our Lord Jesus Christ and our Holy Patron, St. John the Russian.

When you open the home page of our site you will see our Deisis Icon of the Saviour, the Mother of God and St. John the Russian, imposed over a beautiful photo of an evening Holy Week service in our temple. Below the photo heading there are several buttons that open to articles, photo essays, sermons and an introduction to the faith and doctrines of the Orthodox Church.

As the priest and pastor of this parish I encourage you to explore the several resources and use them for yourself and share them with others.

If you live nearby or you are traveling in our area please join us for Divine Services.

With love in Christ,
Archpriest Spyridon Schneider
